I go through the files, the database and the logs. That shows what is wrong, where they got in, and whether cleaning or restoring from a backup makes more sense.
That is what a standard cleanup costs: malware removed, the site restored, and a report. Harder cases — a corrupted database, no backup, several sites at once — are priced separately.
